Iveda, a global provider of cloud-based AI video analytics and smart security technology, has announced a significant expansion of its operations in Egypt through a new manufacturing partnership with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and Egyptian security technology firm ZeroTech. The agreement marks a major step in the company’s regional localization strategy and will enable local production of the Iveda360 smart surveillance camera.
The collaboration builds on Iveda’s earlier move to shift manufacturing of its VEMO body-worn cameras to Egypt, reinforcing the country’s role as a regional hub for advanced security technology. AOI will lead the manufacturing process, while ZeroTech will oversee technology integration, calibration and quality assurance.
The Iveda360 camera designed for real-time, AI-powered 360-degree video analytics, features anti-distortion imaging that the company says allows for accurate detection from all angles. Its immersive, first-person-style navigation is intended to enhance situational awareness through a single device, setting it apart from earlier generations of panoramic cameras that struggled with warping and blind spots.
With Egypt’s CCTV market projected to grow to USD 582 million by 2033, and the 360-degree camera segment expected to expand from USD 14.28 million in 2024 to USD 76.31 million by 2033, Iveda believes localized production will allow it to capture a meaningful share of this fast-growing sector. The company and its partners plan to target high-priority areas such as schools, hospitals, airports, prisons and transportation hubs—sectors where Egypt is accelerating investments in modern security infrastructure.
“This new Iveda360 manufacturing partnership is not just about building more cameras, it’s about building a long-term revenue engine in a market that’s growing quickly,” said David Ly, Iveda’s founder and CEO. He added that the partnership aims to position Egypt not only as a production center for domestic needs, but also as a regional export base for Africa and the Middle East. Iveda’s model pairs locally manufactured hardware with recurring software and services revenue generated by its AI analytics platform.
AOI Electronics, one of Egypt’s key industrial units, will contribute its long-standing expertise in electronics manufacturing. ZeroTech, an early player in Egypt’s surveillance technology sector, will provide technical oversight for mass production. General Ashraf, an Egypt-based advisory board member for Iveda, said the combined capabilities of the partners create “a clear path to unlocking multi-million-dollar opportunities in both domestic deployments and export projects.”
The wider Middle East and Africa video surveillance market, valued at USD 4.32 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 5.71 billion by 2029, further underscores the regional potential Iveda hopes to tap into through its Egypt-centered strategy.
The partnership announcement comes as Iveda continues broader expansion initiatives, including a recent collaboration with Salience Security to launch the Salience Mobile Command, a portable security operations center powered by the company’s AI technology. That unit made its debut as the central security hub for the Carrollton, Texas Police Department during the LIV Golf Tournament. Iveda’s board also recently approved adding cryptocurrency to the company’s treasury strategy, part of an effort to diversify assets and engage with emerging digital economic models.
For Iveda, Egypt is shaping up to be a cornerstone of its Middle Eastern and African operations—a country whose industrial capabilities, geographic position and growing security market align with the company’s ambitions to scale AI-powered surveillance technologies across the region.
