Egypt Daily News – Sources said that for 48 hours now there have been violent clashes between the Syrian government forces and forces loyal to them on the one hand and the militants of terrorist groups, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham on the other hand.
These factions, took advantage of the Aleppo region being a “de-escalation zone” with a reduced number of Syrian government troops present and attacked those villages and towns located south and west of the city of Aleppo, all the way to the vicinity of the city of Saraqib in the northeastern countryside of Idlib, and took control of a large number of towns.
Violent clashes are currently taking place in the areas in the western neighborhoods of Aleppo, as some sources in the city of Aleppo confirmed that an exodus its taking place with residents of the western neighborhoods of Aleppo, including New Aleppo and other neighborhoods located north and west of the city fleeing for their lives after they have become in the line of fire between the opposition factions and the Syrian government forces.
Sources said that the next few hours will be critical hours for both sides. The terrorist groups are in control of the international road south of the city of Aleppo and south of the city of Saraqib in the Idlib countryside, which complicates the mission of the government forces.
