Egypt Daily News – The escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in significant loss of life and heightened tensions in southern Lebanon.

On Friday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported a total of nine fatalities, including a seven-year-old child, attributed to Israeli air raids on various locations in southern Lebanon.

Among those reported killed were five members of Hezbollah, who were involved in confrontations with Israeli forces.

The violence intensified with Israeli drone strikes targeting specific locations, including a house in Aita al-Jabal and a motorcycle in Aitaroun.

Additionally, Israeli aircraft conducted airstrikes that reportedly caused casualties in the town of Mays al-Jabal.

In response, Hezbollah claimed they successfully targeted Israeli military positions, including the Air Control Unit at the Meron base, leading to casualties and damage.

The group also fired artillery at an Israeli position near Al-Khazzan Hill.

The Israeli military confirmed their operations, stating that they targeted Hezbollah militants involved in rocket attacks against Israel.

They specifically mentioned the killing of key figures in Hezbollah’s rocket and missile unit.

This exchange of fire reflects the ongoing and deep-rooted hostilities in the region, raising concerns about further conflict and civilian casualties amidst the military confrontations.
