Egypt Daily News – In a recent speech delivered at the Turkish Parliament, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, announced his decision to travel with the entire Palestinian leadership to the Gaza Strip, following 314 days of ongoing conflict in the region.

He emphasized that the situation has become desperate, stating, “We no longer have solutions.”

During his address, Abbas called on Arab and Islamic leaders, as well as the United Nations Secretary-General, to join him in visiting Gaza to help cease what he described as Israeli aggression and to facilitate humanitarian access to the area.

He urged the United Nations Security Council to act on its previous ceasefire resolutions, withdraw Israeli forces from Gaza, and implement the guidance of the International Court of Justice.

Abbas criticized the United States for its repeated use of veto power in the Security Council, which he claims has hindered efforts to halt the Israeli military campaign in Gaza.

He stated, “Despite Israel’s starvation, killing, and destruction that it carried out against our people, and its targeting of humanitarian organizations, America used its veto three times in the Security Council to prevent stopping the war.”
