Egypt Daily News – The spokesman for the Presidency stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent a message to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, expressing Egypt’s firm solidarity with the Palestinians in light of the successive crises, especially the humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli aggression.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for addressing the roots of the conflict by reviving the path of the two-state solution in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy, while emphasizing the necessity of uniting international efforts to end the occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The President also affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, rejecting the liquidation of the issue and the displacement of Palestinians, calling for the necessity of consolidating a culture of peace and cooperation to achieve stability in the region.
