President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended on Thursday evening the national celebration “Homeland of Peace,” held at the City of Arts and Culture in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. The grand event marked the 52nd anniversary of Egypt’s victory in the October 6 War and carried a powerful message affirming Egypt’s enduring commitment to peace as a cornerstone of its national and international policy.

According to Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the presidential spokesperson, the President began the evening by signing the “Message of Peace from Egypt to the World,” symbolizing Egypt’s steadfast dedication to maintaining and promoting peace as a strategic choice and a deeply rooted principle of its foreign and domestic agenda.

The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech on the values of peace. The program then unfolded with a series of artistic and cultural performances highlighting Egypt’s historical role as a land of coexistence and resilience. Musical and theatrical acts addressed themes such as peacebuilding, the end of the war in Gaza, and the sacrifices and steadfastness of the people of Sinai.

The event also featured pre-recorded messages from prominent Egyptian figures across diverse fields—religion, medicine, archaeology, history, media, arts, and sports—underscoring Egypt’s soft power and cultural influence. Several documentary films were screened during the celebration, including “Guardians of the Sands,” “Egypt: The Path of Return,” and “Insight of a Leader,” each portraying facets of Egypt’s heritage, leadership, and humanitarian vision.

In his remarks, President El-Sisi expressed gratitude to God for bringing an end to the war in Gaza and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people after two years of devastation. He praised Egypt’s successful mediation efforts, culminating in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, which reinforced the country’s role as a regional pillar of stability.

Reflecting on the spirit of October, the President emphasized that true victory stems not only from military strength but also from the unity and determination of the people. “It was the will of the Egyptian people that refused defeat, and God granted them victory,” he said.
The “Homeland of Peace” celebration drew a wide and distinguished audience, including senior government officials, ministers, and representatives from across Egypt’s social and cultural spectrum. With its blend of artistry, reflection, and national pride, the event reaffirmed Egypt’s message to the world: peace remains both a legacy and a living commitment guiding the nation’s path forward.
