President Macron Praises Egypt’s Support for Gaza These remarks were made during Macron’s official visit to Egypt, where his agenda focused on developments in the Gaza war. He expressed full support for the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza and praised the efforts of the Egyptian authorities in both humanitarian and relief efforts, particularly through the Rafah crossing.
The French president affirmed that the political solution is the only way to resolve the situation in Gaza, condemning the targeting of relief teams and humanitarian personnel. He described the humanitarian conditions in the region as “more horrific.”
The Importance of Resuming Humanitarian Aid to Gaza During his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Macron emphasized the urgent need to resume the flow of humanitarian aid and confirmed the alignment of views between the two countries.
President Macron’s visit also included a tour of Al-Arish city, where he visited Al-Arish General Hospital, which treats casualties from Gaza, and inspected points where humanitarian aid for Gaza is being collected.
