Egypt Daily News / Gov.BR – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to participate in the G20 summit, a short while ago.
Brazil has assumed the presidency of the G20 until November 2024. The announcement was made during the 18th Summit, held in 2023 in India. The priority issues established by the Brazilian government are:
- The fight against hunger, poverty and inequality

The Ministry of Labor and Employment leads the Working Group on Employment and will hold two face-to-face meetings, one of them in Brasilia (March 27-29) and the other in Fortaleza, Ceará, (July 23-26). Civil society also participates in the G20. There will be 12 engagement groups for a Social Summit, which will take place from November 15 to 17, in Rio de Janeiro, before the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
