Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended today, Sunday, the Ministry of Interior’s ceremony for the graduation of a new batch of students from the Police Academy and specialized officers for the class of 2023/2024, held at the Police Academy in the First Settlement.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Interior Minister Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Assistant Interior Minister and Head of the Police Academy Major General Hani Abu Al-Makarem, members of the police authority, a group of leaders and officers from the armed forces, representatives from several ministries, and the families of the students.

President Sisi reassured the Egyptian people, affirming that things are moving from good to better, and emphasized that the unity of Egyptians is a guarantee for the security and stability of Egypt.

He stated that the volume of rumors that have been circulated recently was very large.

A warning from President Sisi.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that the region and the world are currently going through very difficult circumstances, warning of the potential expansion of conflict in the area. He emphasized that Egypt is pursuing a policy characterized by balance, moderation, and objectivity.

The President’s Recommendations

President Sisi advised the graduates of the Police Academy to deal with citizens with patience, honesty, and sincerity. He also urged police students to refrain from smoking and emphasized the importance of maintaining their weight and health.

The President also criticized the scenes of some police officers in Egyptian dramas and films smoking cigarettes, saying: “Doesn’t a police officer know how to think unless he’s holding a cigarette in his hand or what?!” He condemned those scenes, emphasizing the importance of not repeating them.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his greetings to the families of the graduates and congratulated them for their contribution to the protection of the nation. He affirmed that the graduates of the Police Academy will participate in maintaining the security and stability of the nation.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi honored today, Sunday, the top graduates from the Police Academy, the Graduate Studies College, and the Police Research Center, awarding them the Second Class Merit Medal for the class of 2023/2024.

Oath of allegiance

The new graduates of the Police Academy, class of 2023/2024, took the oath of loyalty during a ceremony attended by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Police Academy headquarters this morning, Sunday.
The new graduates recited the oath behind the Chief Instructor of the Police College, and its text was as follows:

“I swear by Almighty God…”I swear by Almighty God… I swear by Almighty God that I will uphold the republican system. And to respect the constitution and the law.. And to safeguard the nation’s safety.. “I perform my duty with integrity and honesty.”

Commemorative gift
The Assistant Minister of Interior and Head of the Police Academy, Major General Hani Abu Al-Makarem, presented a commemorative gift to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the beginning of the graduation ceremony for a new batch of students from the Police Academy.

The gift consists of a model of the Police Academy gate and the People’s Square in the new administrative capital, with the memorial for the police martyrs at its center to commemorate their sacrifices. In the heart of the square, there are eagle wings symbolizing the security that prevails across the nation and the readiness to achieve it in the new republic.

Salute for the Martyr

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the salute for the martyr and the military salute during the graduation ceremony of a new batch of students from the Police Academy 2024.

The national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the national song were played.

Graduates and students of the Police Academy conducted the handover of leadership in front of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the graduation ceremony of the 2024 batch.

Documentary film

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi watched a documentary film about the training of police academy students on identifying criminal hotspots and the ability to access them.

He also watched demonstrations of the physical and combat skills of police students, followed by displays of weapon use, crime fighting, and chasing down criminals, as well as a sports parade.

Minister of Interior

Lieutenant General Mahmoud Tawfik, the Minister of Interior, stated that the ministry has adopted a comprehensive system to utilize scientific data in the service of security purposes, through the implementation of a gradual program aimed at equipping police officers with advanced academic degrees that qualify them to apply modern security policies.

The Minister of Interior affirmed that the fundamental principles of the security strategy of the Ministry of Interior focus on establishing the foundations of security and stability as an indispensable pillar for preserving the essential components of the national work journey and the achievements and gains of society.

This is achieved through a careful analysis of the changes imposed by the international and regional realities, and through decisive and proactive responses to all forms of crime.

He emphasized that the ministry is committed to achieving the concept of comprehensive security through the continuous modernization of all aspects of its human resources system, in order to prepare a modern police officer equipped with the capabilities to understand and confront the limitless evolution of crime.

He explained that contemporary security policy has emerged within a framework of conscious engagement with reality and its changes, prioritizing the supreme interests of the nation, embodying its will, and protecting the path of development and democracy in various fields.

President of the Police Academy

Major General Hani Abu Al-Makarem, Assistant Minister of Interior and Head of the Police Academy, stated that the Police College is taking steady steps towards the future by continuously working on updating the programs and curricula offered to students to keep up with all developments.

He explained that educational sites and training facilities have been developed using the latest systems to keep up with the best security education systems in the world.

He pointed out that the Police Academy organized training workshops on the internal overthrow of states, in which more than 300 students participated, in addition to the participation of Police Academy students with Military Academy students in training throughout the academic year.

He confirmed that today’s ceremony witnesses the graduation of students who will join various police positions, including students from several countries and specialized officers.

He pointed to the dog and security management, which played a significant role in securing facilities, conferences, and important locations.

Students showcase

The celebration began with a performance by the police college students, showcasing their training in all combat fields and special capabilities for combating terrorism and its elements, as well as storming criminal hotspots.

The graduates of the Police Academy presented a parkour display during their graduation ceremony, featuring both male and female students from the academy.

These abilities help police graduates confront emergency dangers, enabling them to jump from the tops of vehicles and navigate over quad bikes by leaping over them.

The students showcased their abilities to jump over high fixed obstacles and perform forward rolls.
The women’s team conducted a simulation of a rescue operation from criminal elements who were in a speeding car.

The presentation demonstrated the students’ ability to camouflage and conceal themselves, execute raids with live ammunition, and train them in various fields.
