Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness on the security of the Gulf states as it is an essential component of the Arab national security system.

This came during the phone call that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today from the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the call dealt with the regional situation, where the President reviewed the Egyptian efforts regarding the situation in Gaza, and the two sides stressed in this regard the necessity of an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of the release of hostages and detainees, and the implementation of humanitarian aid without conditions or obstacles, stressing that The truce in the Palestinian Territory is the basis for the return of regional stability.

He added that the call also touched on ways to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, especially the economic, trade and investment fields, as the two leaders stressed the importance of countries in the region coming together to confront the current economic crises linked to regional instability, taking into account the new challenges and threats that these successive crises pose. This requires intensifying coordination and cooperation between countries in the region.
