U.S. President Donald Trump praised Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, describing him as “a truly wonderful person” during a press conference at the White House held earlier today.
Trump extended his gratitude to Egypt for its efforts to help end the war in the Gaza Strip, highlighting Cairo’s role in supporting regional stability and mediation.
“I want to thank President El-Sisi, is a truly wonderful person and the Egyptian leadership for their efforts to bring about an end to the conflict in Gaza,” Trump said.
He also expressed appreciation to leaders of Arab and Islamic nations, as well as key European allies, for aligning with U.S. principles aimed at achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
“I thank the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries, and our allies in Europe, for engaging with our vision to secure peace in the Middle East,” he added.
Trump’s remarks come amid a broader diplomatic push to finalize a proposed peace plan for Gaza, which has drawn international attention for its ambitious goals and the prominent roles assigned to key regional players, including Egypt.
