Prime Minister: Unemployment decreased to 5.6%

Egypt Daily News – Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, confirmed that the government began two years ago to implement the policy of the state’s exit from the economy and the growth of the private sector within this framework, to achieve fair competition in economic activity.

The Prime Minister said, during his speech at the Doha Forum 2024, that the Egyptian state has overcome many consequences and challenges, stressing that unemployment has now decreased to 5.6%, as 10 years ago this percentage was much higher.

He continued: “Within 10 years, there have been new job opportunities, and the state is facing challenges and creating new job opportunities.”

He pointed out that the state is dealing with population growth and creating job opportunities, adding: “Egypt’s economy will grow and move from one stage to another.”
