Egypt Daily News – Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow will continue to develop its naval forces and provide them with advanced hypersonic missiles.

This came during his participation in the activities of the main naval parade of the Russian fleet, which is taking place in the city of Petersburg, today, Sunday.

He noted in his statements that “the United States does not act in good faith regarding conducting air patrols,” saying that his country is aware of American and German plans to deploy long-range American missiles in Berlin.

He pointed out that “deploying American missiles in Germany directly threatens Russian bases and vital installations,” threatening that Moscow would take “similar action” if Washington proceeded with deploying long-range missiles in Germany.

Earlier, Putin toured the presidential boat, accompanied by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, and Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, where he reviewed the line of ships participating in the celebration.

Putin congratulated Russian military personnel on Russian Navy Day, and also welcomed ship crews from China, Algeria and India.

More than 2.5 thousand military personnel, 20 ships and boats, in addition to one submarine and four sailing ships, are participating in the parade.
