“Special operation” Ukrainian source reveals details of the Kiev assassination of the Russian army’s chemical weapons chief

Egypt Daily News – A source in the Ukrainian security service as saying that the Ukrainian intelligence services carried out a “special operation” that resulted in the assassination of Russian General Igor Kirillov.

The source added, “The Ukrainian Security Service assassinated Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov in a special operation in Moscow on Tuesday.”

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, commander of the Russian Army’s radiation, chemical and biological weapons, was assassinated in an explosion that occurred in the capital, Moscow, on Tuesday morning.

The Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement that an explosive device planted in an electric bicycle that was located at the entrance of a residential building on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow was detonated this morning, killing Kirillov and his assistant.

An official with the SBU said the agency was behind the attack. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information, described Kirillov as a “war criminal and an entirely legitimate target.”
