Egypt Daily News – The head coach of the Egyptian national team, Hossam Hassan, announced yesterday, Saturday, the list of his country’s team to play two matches in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The Egyptian national team will face the national teams of Cape Verde and Botswana on November 15 and 19, respectively.
The list, which included 25 players, saw the absence of Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool FC, and several other prominent players such as Mohamed Elneny, Imam Ashour, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, and Rami Rabia. Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush, the star of Eintracht Frankfurt, was included, along with the first-time call-up of Mahmoud Zlaka, a midfielder from Ceramica Cleopatra FC.
The Egyptian national team’s roster is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, El-Mahdi Soliman, Mohamed Awad
Defense line: Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Mohamed Shahat, Hossam Abdel-Meguid, Mohamed Ahmed Rabia, Mohamed Hamdi, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Ahmed Eid, Hamdi Fathy

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian national team sits atop the third group with a perfect score of 12 points, securing their qualification for the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025”.
