Egypt Daily News – The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Galant regarding war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
The International Criminal Court confirmed that There are logical reasons to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant committed crimes. It indicated that Israel’s recognition of the court’s jurisdiction is not required to implement arrest warrants.
It explained that the war crimes against Netanyahu and Gallant include: using starvation as a weapon of war, murder, persecution, and “other inhumane acts.”
In a separate statement, the International Criminal Court also said that it had issued an arrest warrant against the commander-in-chief of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Muhammad al-Deif.
Arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court are binding on more than 120 countries, a large number of which have relations with Israel.
This means that Netanyahu and Gallant will not be able from now on to visit the 120 signatory countries of the “Rome Treaty” on which the court relies in implementing its decisions.
