Egypt Daily News – A security source quoted as saying that the Egyptian woman Aya Adel fell to her death from her apartment balcony a few days ago after a dispute with her husband.
The source added that investigations, supported by a video documenting the incident, confirmed that the woman acted alone during the dispute and threw herself without any intervention from her husband. The case and video footage were sent to the public prosecutor, who ruled that the woman had taken her own life. Meanwhile, the husband was detained on charges of minor assault before she jumped.
The source also confirmed that the Family Protection Department took custody of the couple’s two children until their grandfather arrived from Egypt to take them.
Earlier, the forensic report indicated that “Aya” sustained a deep cut on her forehead, a skull fracture, and severe bleeding. Her left thigh and leg were subjected to heavy blows with a sharp object before she fell from the balcony.

According to information published by Egyptian media, it was reported that the wife had been planning to separate from her husband and had rented a new home just days before the incident.
The Sada El-Balad website revealed that the forensic report indicated that Aya had suffered a deep cut on her forehead, a skull fracture, severe bleeding, and heavy blows to her left thigh and leg with a sharp object before falling from her apartment balcony.
The report also stated that neighbors of the victim testified about previous incidents of abuse by her husband. In response, the deceased’s family has called for an urgent investigation to uncover all the details of the case.
