Egypt Daily News – U.S. President Donald Trump announced Friday the revocation of the clearance granted to his predecessor Joe Biden, which gives former presidents access to sensitive information even after they leave office.

“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue to have access to classified information,” Trump said on his social network TruthSocial. “We are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s clearance and stopping the daily intelligence briefings” provided to him, adding in large letters ”Joe, you’re fired.

Trump made this decision because Biden did the same thing in 2021, when the former Democratic president referred to Donald Trump’s “inconsistent behavior” during the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, just before he left the White House.

In his Friday post, Trump considered Biden “unreliable” regarding intelligence briefings because a report prepared by a special adviser on the Democratic president’s handling of classified documents found that Biden, 82, suffers from “memory impairment.”

Trump had previously been charged with mishandling classified documents, but the Justice Department ended the case after he won the 2024 election.
