Egypt Daily News – President Donald Trump warned the Houthi group “Ansar Allah” in Yemen against continuing their attacks, saying: “I tell the Houthi terrorists that your time is up, and your attacks must stop, or you will be rained upon with a hell like you have never seen before.”

Trump also addressed Iran, saying: “I tell the Iranians to stop supporting the Houthis and to stop threatening the American people, its president, or global shipping lanes.”

Trump stated that the Houthi group “Ansar Allah” in Yemen had launched a continuous campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American ships, aircraft, and drones, as well as others.

He pointed out that his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, had responded weakly to Houthi attacks, which encouraged them to continue their recklessness and advance. He added, “It has been a full year since the last American-flagged commercial ship sailed safely through the Suez, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden.”

Trump emphasized that his administration would not tolerate Houthi attacks on American ships and would use overwhelming deadly force until its objective was achieved. He explained that the Houthis’ choking of shipping traffic in one of the world’s most important waterways had led to a halt in large sectors of global trade.

He added, “Our troops are carrying out attacks on terrorist bases, their leaders, and their defenses to protect American shipping and restore freedom of navigation,” stressing that no terrorist force would be allowed to prevent American commercial and naval ships from sailing freely in international waterways.

Media outlets affiliated with the Houthi group “Ansar Allah” in Yemen reported on Saturday that four airstrikes targeted the Al-Jaraf neighborhood in northern Sana’a, the Yemeni capital.

According to The New York Times, citing U.S. officials on Saturday, the American strikes in Yemen also aim to send a warning signal to Iran. The officials stated that targeting the Houthis’ arsenal could continue for several days and might expand in scope depending on their response.

U.S. officials mentioned that some security officials are pushing for a stronger campaign to strip the Houthis of control over parts of the country. They clarified that the strikes were carried out by fighter jets from the aircraft carrier “Harry S. Truman” in the Red Sea.

The American officials confirmed that authorities in Washington and the Middle East are anticipating a counterattack from the Houthis.

Sources indicated that the strikes ordered by President Donald Trump in Yemen targeted radar systems, air defenses, missile systems, and drones, pointing out that the strikes aimed to reopen international shipping lanes in the Red Sea that had been disrupted by the Houthis.
