Egypt Daily News – U.S. airstrikes on Sunday night targeted Houthi sites and barracks in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and in the Amran Governorate. The renewed American airstrikes on Houthi positions in Sana’a, particularly in the Suf area to the east of the capital. The airstrikes hit Houthi sites at the 310th Brigade headquarters in Amran.
Earlier on Sunday, Houthi media counted 13 U.S. airstrikes targeting the Suf and Al-Malikah areas in the Bani Hashish district, east of Sana’a. Four airstrikes also targeted the Jadir area in the Bani Harith district, north of the capital.
The ongoing strikes targeted the Khurafi Camp and the National Security headquarters, both under Houthi control in the Suf area, northeast of Sana’a, amid continuous and heavy air patrols. Sources confirmed that “American airstrikes targeted major Houthi camps in Sana’a,” including the Khurafi camp and the National Security building in the Suf area.
An Israeli official confirmed that “Houthi missile stocks have significantly decreased due to both our strikes and the American airstrikes,” adding that the Houthis “now only have dozens of missiles and launch platforms left.” The Houthi-controlled Health Ministry, which is not internationally recognized, reported one death and five injuries in the Jadir area from the airstrikes.
On Sunday morning, the Houthi group announced that it had targeted Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel with a ballistic missile, while Israel confirmed the interception of a missile launched from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace. This followed air raid sirens in the occupied Jerusalem area and Tel Aviv.
The Houthis also announced clashes with U.S. naval vessels, including the aircraft carrier “Harry Truman,” using cruise missiles and drones in the past 24 hours, though the U.S. military confirmed that all attacks had been repelled.
On March 15, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered the U.S. military to launch a “major strike” against the Houthi group in Yemen, threatening to “completely eliminate the Houthis.”
