Egypt Daily News – The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday the arrival of F-22 Raptor fighters to the US Central Command area of responsibility in the Middle East.
Centcom said in a post on its official account on the “X” platform, previously Twitter: “US Air Force F-22 Raptor fighters arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility on August 8.”
The US Central Command added that the arrival of these fighters “is part of the US forces’ positioning movements in the region, and to deal with the threats posed by Iran and the groups it supports.”
Fears are increasing about a possible Iranian military response against Israel after Tehran held it responsible for the killing of the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.
