Egypt demands that foreign resident legalize their stay

EgyptDailyNews - The Egyptian government has called on all foreigners residing in the country to go to the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality, to pay the residency fees, register their data, and obtain a smart residency card, to ensure their continued benefit from the services provided to them in all government sectors.

This step comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s keenness to ensure that guests residing in the country continue to benefit from all the services provided to them by the state’s administrative apparatus.

The government launched the “Quickly rectify your situation in Egypt” campaign, to encourage foreigners residing in the country, especially those groups exempt from paying residency fees to finalize this issue as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly directed that a period be granted to foreigners residing in the country to legalize their status and renew their residency to obtain the smart residency card, the period granted by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, ends on June 30, 2024.
