Egypt Daily News – The American Fox News network said that US President-elect Donald Trump will sign more than 200 executive measures on his first day in office, which begins tomorrow, Tuesday, after his inauguration ceremony on Monday and officially assuming the duties of the presidency.
The record first wave of policy priorities will focus on border security, energy, lowering the costs of living for American families, ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs across the federal government, and more, the network reports.
According to a senior administration official, Trump is set to sign multiple “sweeping” executive orders, each containing dozens of key executive actions.
“The President is issuing a historic series of executive orders and actions that will fundamentally reform the American government, including the full and comprehensive restoration of American sovereignty,” the official told Fox News Digital.
Some will reportedly be signed at the Capitol after Trump is sworn in, others will be handled during the inaugural parade at Capital One Arena, and then more later at the White House. Trump again indicated that he plans to pardon several people convicted of the attempted insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 once he takes office.
Donald Trump, the 47th US President of the United States, becomes President after taking the constitutional oath at his inauguration ceremony in the Capitol building.
US President Donald Trump begins his term with the inauguration ceremony and swearing-in. The US president is usually inaugurated on January 20. In addition to the swearing-in, there will be musical celebrations, festive performances and a number of official competitions. Vice President-elect J.D. Vance will also be sworn in and join Trump on stage to officially begin their administration.
A key part of the ceremony includes the president-elect reciting the oath of office: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully perform the duties of the office of President of the United States, and to the best of my ability will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The day begins with a prayer at St. John’s Bluffet Square Church, a historic church in Washington, followed by tea at the White House. Musical performances and opening speeches will begin on the main stage of the event, located on the West Lawn of the US Capitol Building, at 09:30 am EST.
This will be followed by the swearing-in of Trump and Vance as well as an inaugural address in which the president will outline his goals for the next four years, after which Trump will then head to the President’s Room, near the Senate floor, to sign key documents.
