Egypt Daily News – Egyptian MP and television host Mostafa Bakry has warned of what he described as a conspiracy aimed at destabilizing Egypt. Speaking during his show “Facts and Secrets” on Sada El-Balad TV, Bakry questioned whether anyone could deny that there are coordinated efforts to harm the country’s image and increase internal tensions.
“Every Egyptian citizen is fully aware of what is happening,” Bakry said, noting that the Egyptian people have experienced similar challenges in the past and understand the gravity of the current situation.
He emphasized that the issue goes beyond politics or temporary crises. “This is not about a political dispute or an isolated event,” he said. “This is about Egypt itself. Egypt is the real target, and the aim is to bring it down.”
Bakry stressed the importance of national unity and urged citizens not to fall for what he described as smear campaigns fueled by foreign entities. He warned that there are plans to destabilize the country from within by dismantling its internal cohesion.
“They want to break the national unity behind the political leadership,” he said. “They are trying to create chaos by weakening the bond between the people and their leadership. This is a war against Egypt, and it’s being waged from within. If the country falls, it won’t be able to rise again. Anyone who threatens Egypt will face dire consequences.”
Bakry went on to say that Egypt is being targeted because President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi refuses to comply with foreign demands and has exposed several external plots. “They are angry because President Sisi doesn’t give in to their agenda. Egypt is under attack because Sisi is not making it easy for them.”
He pointed out that President Sisi has rejected forced displacement plans, continues to support the Palestinian cause, has equipped the Egyptian military with modern weapons, and denied American warships free passage through the Suez Canal without fees. He also refused to allow the establishment of U.S. military bases on Egyptian soil.
