Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration said it is closely monitoring the situation of Egyptian communities across the region amid the ongoing escalation in conflict.
Acting on directives from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the ministry stated that it is giving high priority to ensuring the safety and well-being of Egyptian nationals in affected countries.
Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held contacts earlier Monday with Egyptian ambassadors across the region to obtain detailed updates on the conditions of Egyptian communities, as well as citizens stranded abroad for tourism or medical purposes.
The minister instructed Egyptian embassies to maintain round-the-clock monitoring of nationals, strengthen direct communication channels through emergency hotlines, and provide full consular support and necessary care for stranded citizens until their safe return to Egypt can be arranged.
The ministry also confirmed that the foreign minister reviewed the health conditions of several Egyptians who sustained minor injuries. All have received the necessary medical treatment and have been discharged from hospitals after recovering.
The Foreign Ministry renewed its call on Egyptian nationals in the region to exercise caution, remain in continuous contact with Egyptian embassies and consulates, and comply with all instructions issued by authorities in their countries of residence.
