Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian handball team delivered a thrilling performance in their match against Norway during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, emerging victorious with a score of 26-25. This match marked the fourth round of the second group, which features a strong lineup that includes Denmark, France, Norway, Hungary, and Argentina.

The initial half saw Egypt leading 14-13, but the second half proved to be more competitive. Norway managed to take show a good fight, but it was the Pharaohs in the closing minutes that won the game.

With this victory, the Egyptian team has positioned itself well for qualification. They can secure a spot in the next round by defeating Argentina in their final group stage match, which would elevate their point total to five and guarantee at least fourth place in the standings.

Additionally, if they were to win their next encounter against Norway, they would not only confirm their qualification but also enhance their chances of finishing as the group’s runner-up.

On the other hand, a draw against Argentina could still allow Egypt to progress, but it would depend on the outcomes of simultaneous matches.

Argentina would need to lose one of their matches against either Denmark or France, and France’s match against Hungary must not end in a draw. The team’s upcoming performances are crucial as they strive for success in this highly competitive group.
