President Sisi affirms Egypt’s keenness to advance efforts to deepen relations and bilateral cooperation with Eritrea

Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to strengthening the distinguished relations and bilateral cooperation with Eritrea during a meeting with Eritrean Foreign Minister Othman Saleh.

He highlighted the importance of collaboration amidst increasing regional challenges, advocating for intensified discussions to address these issues effectively.

The meeting, which took place on Thursday, also saw the presence of several key Egyptian officials, including Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence, along with the Eritrean ambassador to Cairo.

During this visit, President El-Sisi received a written message from Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, expressing appreciation for the relationship between the two nations and a desire to enhance consultation and coordination on mutual interests.

This overture underscores the ongoing efforts of both countries to nurture their partnership for the benefit of their people.
