Egypt Daily News – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently spoke with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi regarding the situation in the Palestinian territories.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the importance of collective Arab and Islamic efforts to de-escalate tensions and address ongoing Israeli actions against the Palestinian people.

During the phone call, the two leaders reinforced the strong historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, while also discussing regional conditions and the need for enhanced collaboration among Arab nations to tackle security challenges.

They agreed on the urgency of achieving an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stopping the escalation in the West Bank to help stabilize the region and prevent further conflict.

In related developments, U.S. President Joe Biden expressed optimism about ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the war in Gaza, stating that all involved parties concur on the fundamental principles necessary to reach a deal.

Recent talks took place in Cairo, where an Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief David Barnea engaged with mediators. Hamas officials also participated in discussions, advocating for Israel to adhere to specific conditions set forth in earlier proposals from July.

Further mediation discussions were conducted in Doha, indicating the ongoing efforts to resolve the situation through dialogue and negotiation among various stakeholders.
