President Sisi directs to intensify work on renewable energy projects and add new capacities to the electrical grid

Egypt Daily News – President Sisi held a meeting today with key government officials, including Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Engineer Mahmoud Asmat, and Acting Head of the Administrative Control Authority Mr. Amr Adel Hosni.

During the meeting, the president emphasized the importance of following up on the government’s work plan aimed at maintaining a stable and sustainable electricity supply.

He urged for increased efforts on current renewable energy projects to enhance the electrical grid’s capacity. The discussion included plans to modernize the electricity network by integrating advanced technologies that improve energy absorption and transmission efficiency while minimizing losses.

the meeting touched on the implementation of comprehensive policies and procedures designed to reduce electricity consumption waste.

This includes addressing illegal encroachments and combating electricity theft, all within the bounds of the law and the constitution. The overarching goal is to safeguard public funds, protect citizens’ rights, and ensure a stable electricity supply throughout the country.
