Egypt Daily News – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the bilateral relationship between Turkey and Egypt.
During a joint press conference in Ankara, President expressed Turkey’s interest in enhancing cooperation with Egypt, particularly in the natural gas and nuclear energy sectors. He emphasized the importance of economic collaboration and investment in these areas.
The two leaders also addressed the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, reiterating their shared position on the Palestinian issue and calling for an immediate ceasefire.
President rejected accusations from Israeli officials directed at Egypt and criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government for escalating tensions and posing risks globally. He reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to seeking accountability for those responsible for violence in Gaza.
Additionally, President and President El-Sisi discussed various regional issues, including the situations in Syria, the Eastern Mediterranean, Libya, and Sudan, emphasizing their collaborative efforts to promote peace and stability throughout the region.
