Egyptian Foreign Minister: Egypt is keen on facilitating the conditions of Sudanese citizens in the country

Egypt Daily News – Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated the country’s dedication to assisting Sudanese citizens living in Egypt amidst ongoing crises in Sudan.

This commitment was acknowledged with gratitude by his Sudanese counterpart, Hussein Awad, during their meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During their discussion, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that Dr. Abdel Aty reviewed Egypt’s involvement in the Geneva meetings, highlighting the nation’s support for Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.

Both ministers expressed a strong interest in addressing Sudan-related issues in the upcoming Arab League meeting scheduled for September 10th.

Dr. Abdel Aaty also sought Hussein Awad’s insights on various international and regional efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in Sudan.

The two sides discussed several aspects of their bilateral relations, with Awad underlining the strong ties between the two countries and expressing gratitude for Egypt’s efforts in providing humanitarian aid and fostering conditions conducive to resolving the ongoing crisis.
