Egypt Daily News – The African Football Confederation officially approved Botswana’s request to postpone their match against the national team by 5 hours, so the game will now take place at 9 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, instead of 4 PM.

This decision comes after they faced a flight crisis in Mauritania, which delayed their return to their country until Tuesday morning.

The Botswana national team faced a major crisis after their match against Mauritania, which they lost 1-0 last Saturday. The team is still stranded in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, and held a training session at the Cheikh Bedia Stadium.

The Botswana national team played a friendly match in Libya, and from there flew to Nouakchott on a private plane. However, since yesterday, they have been stuck, as the private plane has not returned, prompting the delegation to inquire about flights to Botswana.

The Botswana national team will face its Egyptian counterpart on Tuesday at home in the second round of Group C matches, which also includes the teams from Mauritania and Cape Verde.

The match will take place at the Francistown Stadium in Botswana, which has a capacity of 26,000 spectators. The stands are expected to be filled for Tuesday’s match to support the home team.

Botswana lost 1-0 in the first round against Mauritania in the match that took place yesterday, Saturday, and is looking to make a comeback against the Egyptian team, especially since the match is being held on their home ground.

The Egyptian national team won against Cape Verde with a clean score of three goals in the match that took place last Friday evening at the Cairo International Stadium, in the first round of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco.

The goals for the Egyptian team were scored by Rami Rabia, Omar Marmoush, and Ibrahim Adel in the 23rd, 45th, and 69th minutes, respectively.
