Egypt Daily News – Saad El Soghayar, the Egyptian popular singer, recently faced legal trouble after being arrested at Cairo Airport for possession of substances that customs authorities identified as narcotics.

During his interrogation, El Soghayar claimed ignorance about the substances, stating that he believed they were common electronic cigarettes sold abroad and admitted that he is not proficient in reading English.

He acknowledged that he had the items with the intention of using them.

Following his arrest, the Public Prosecution ordered him to undergo a forensic examination, including blood and urine tests, to assess his drug use.

The investigation has led to his detention for four days while authorities check his criminal record and consider his previous offenses as part of the ongoing investigation. This case has garnered attention as the singer navigates these serious allegations.
