Egypt Daily News – U.S. President Joe Biden has unveiled an additional $425 million in military assistance to Ukraine, aimed at bolstering air defense capabilities, supplying armored vehicles, and providing ammunition, as stated by the White House.

During a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Biden detailed plans to deliver “hundreds of air defense interceptor missiles, dozens of tactical air defense systems, more artillery systems, large amounts of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, and thousands of additional armored units” to Kyiv in the coming months.

In November, Biden is set to hold a virtual meeting for the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, where global leaders will meet to coordinate their efforts.

This meeting was originally meant to occur on October 12 at Ramstein Air Base in the U.S. but was canceled due to Hurricane Milton.

Today, Biden will travel to Germany to engage with German leaders regarding the situations in Ukraine and the Middle East.

The U.S. continues to be Ukraine’s foremost backer. During their conversation, Zelensky shared insights on how to counter Russia, and both leaders committed to ongoing discussions about future strategies.

Since Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Biden administration has delivered billions in military and non-military aid to Ukraine, solidifying the U.S. as its largest supporter.
