Egypt Daily News – A confidential source confirmed the killing of Hamas leader Yahia Sinwar during an Israeli army operation in Rafah. As announced by Israeli Channel 13: The assassination operation of Sinwar took place in the Tal al-Sultan area in Rafah.
Shortly before that, sources reported that a preliminary DNA test was conducted on the body suspected to belong to Hamas leader Yahia Sinwar, and the result was positive.
The statement added that “during an operation by the Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip,” three elements were eliminated, adding that both the “Defense Forces and the Shin Bet are examining the possibility” that Sinwar is one of them.
The Israeli Defense Minister posted a cryptic message that seems to confirm the elimination of Yahia Sinwar. Yoav Galant quoted a verse from the Torah that says, “Your enemies will chase you and fall before you by the sword,” adding, “We will reach every terrorist and eliminate them.”
A senior government minister told Israeli Channel 12 that Hamas leader Yehia Sinwar has apparently been eliminated.
He added, “This is a day of settling accounts and a message to all terrorists: We will pursue you until your last day, anywhere in the world.”
