Egypt Daily News – Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and its allied Syrian factions on Sunday morning, announced control of the city of Al-Safira and the towns of Al-Tayha, Al-Khafsa, Khanaser, and Jabal Azzan in the countryside of Aleppo Governorate, in addition to the villages of Ithriya, Ma’an, Al-Kabariyah, Al-Adaniya, Kawkab, Karah, Khafsin, and the town of Shulin in Hama Governorate countryside, and seizing it from the control of Syrian regime forces and pro-Iranian militias.
It added that it took control of the Artillery College, the Air College, the Military Academy, the Central Prison, and the industrial zone in Sheikh Najjar inside and on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo, which had fallen out of the control of the Syrian regime.
Additionally the military command of Operation “Dawn of Freedom”, led by factions of the Turkish-backed National Army, announced the control of the Kuweires Military Airport, the 111th Regiment, the thermal station and the village of Kavin from the control of the Syrian army in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, heading to Tal Rifaat and the Menagh Military Airport.
On the other hand, Syrian television said that Syrian army regained control of the town of Al-Samman and villages in the vicinity of Hama.
Sources in northern Syria reported that the terrorist factions of Operation Deterrence of Aggression, led by Jabhat Tahrir al-Sham and its allied Syrian factions, arrived this morning on the outskirts of the city of Hama after controlling approximately 16 towns in its northern countryside during the past hours.
In another development, the Chief of Staff of the Syrian army, General Abdul Karim Ibrahim, arrived in Qamhana to begin a counterattack.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported the arrival of more military reinforcements to the northern Hama countryside, including personnel, heavy equipment, and rocket launchers, to support and support the advance of the Syrian army counter attack.
Military source added that the joint Syrian-Russian warplanes are intensifying their strikes on the movement axes of what they described as “fleeing terrorists,” their locations, headquarters, and their weapons and ammunition depots, causing direct casualties and leaving dozens of them dead or wounded, according to his description.
Activists loyal to the Syrian regime broadcast pictures of regime forces reinforcements in Jabal Zain al-Abidin, Qamhana and Khattab in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Medical sources said that 5 people were killed and dozens wounded as a result of an air strike from a warplane believed to be Russian, on the courtyard of the University Hospital in the center of Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 7 members of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham were killed following the explosion of a number of booby-trapped rockets left by regime forces and the militias supporting them in a warehouse in the city of Khan Shaykhun in the southern countryside of Idlib.
The Syrian Civil Defense also reported that 4 civilians were killed, and 54 others were wounded, in a series of raids by Russian warplanes that targeted the neighborhoods of Idlib city and two camps for the displaced this morning.
Syrian terrorists news networks said that this morning, Russian warplanes carried out a series of air strikes targeting the city of Idlib, the vicinity of the city of Soran, the towns of Morek, Khan Shaykhun, Kafranbel, Hazarin, Tal Kawkaba, and the areas of Sahl al-Ghab, Sheikh Sindian, and Qarqour in the southern countryside of Idlib and northern Hama, with no information received about human losses so far.
Self-administration announces general mobilization
The Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria announced in a press conference held on Sunday the general mobilization and confirmed that the attack by the Turkish state and the Syrian terrorist factions loyal to it represents a continuation of the plan that Turkey failed to achieve through ISIS, and its goal is to occupy Syria, divide its lands, and eliminate the hopes of the Syrians.
The Autonomous Administration said in its statement that this aggression aims to occupy and divide Syria, and turn it into a hotbed of international terrorism. The attack that began in Aleppo and Hama is not limited to a specific region only, but rather threatens all of Syria.
Escalation in southern Syria
The Ahrar Houran Gathering website reported that two Syrian rtroops were killed and others were injured following an attack carried out by local groups on a State Security military checkpoint between the city of Inkhil and the town of Semlin, north of Daraa.
9 Syrian army troops were killed as a result of an attack launched by a local group with machine guns on an Air Force Intelligence checkpoint on the bridge of the town of Khirbet Ghazala, east of Daraa.
The Ahrar Houran Gathering said that the Syrian army shelled the town of Semlin and its surroundings with about 20 mortar shells, and the shelling resulted in casualties among civilians, with a slight exodus of civilians from the town.
Daraa 24 Network said that the towns of Maaraba, Al-Harak, Nahta, Tal Shihab, the city of Tafas, and the town of Inkhil witnessed evening demonstrations demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime.
The Suwayda 24 network said that local militants attacked with rocket-propelled grenades the Baath Party building, the police headquarters building, and the Air Force Intelligence branch in Suwayda.
Diplomatic moves
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is visiting the Syrian capital, Damascus, and then to the Turkish capital, Ankara, to discuss the latest developments in northern Syria.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Araqchi will go to Damascus on Sunday to hold talks with regime officials, and then leave for Ankara, adding that after consulting with the Turkish authorities, he will leave for the next destination, without specifying it.
According to the statement, Araghchi “will soon go to several countries in the region to consult on regional issues, especially recent developments.”
The statement indicated that the Iranian Foreign Minister held a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, during which he discussed the latest developments in Syria, and stressed “the necessity of coordination with Moscow regarding Syria as much as possible.”
On November 27, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, which is listed on the US terrorist lists, along with the National Liberation Front, Jaysh al-Izza and some factions of the Syrian National Army loyal to Turkey, launched the “Deterring Aggression” operation in several areas in northwestern Syria.
The terrorist groups participating in the operation said in a statement that the aim of the operation to deter aggression is to remove the danger of Iranian militias and Syrian regime forces from populated areas, and to expand safe areas to create conditions for the return of the displaced to their homes.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of approximately 372 people since the start of the operation, including 24 civilians.
