Egypt Daily News – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s office said on Wednesday that the president will attend the summit of the Group of Eight Islamic Developing Countries in Egypt.
On Thursday, Cairo will host the D8 summit of the Organization of Eight Islamic Countries for Economic Cooperation in its eleventh edition, which will discuss ways to confront the successive global economic and political changes.
Egypt is chairing the current version of the summit, as it assumed the presidency of the group last May, and will continue to lead its work until the end of next year.
The summit is scheduled to be held at the presidential level, with the heads of the eight member states attending, including Egypt: Turkey, Bangladesh, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
