Egypt Daily News – Sources have confirmed that currently 2,000 aid trucks in Rafah, Sheikh Zuweid, and Al-Arish are ready and waiting to enter Gaza Strip. About 200 aid trucks have already entered the Kerem Abu Salem and Al-Auja crossings, as well as 5 fuel trucks, so far.
The first humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, minutes after the ceasefire began today (Sunday) between Israel and Hamas, a United Nations official in charge of the Palestinian territories announced on the “X” platform.
“At 11:15 today (9:15 GMT) a ceasefire finally entered into force in Gaza,” Jonathan Whittall, senior official in the occupied Palestinian territories at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), wrote. He intervened barely 15 minutes after that,” that is, at 9:30 GMT, according to what Agence France-Presse reported.
Egyptian media reported earlier today that 200 aid trucks had arrived at the Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja crossings on the border with Gaza, in preparation for their entry into the Strip.
It added that the trucks carry food, clothing, medical supplies, tents, hygiene supplies, and other relief materials, indicating huge Egyptian preparations for the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
