Egypt Daily News – Mahmoud Mardawi, a leader in the Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas”, expressed the categorical rejection of the proposals of US President Donald Trump, which represent a continuation of the settlement plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and canceling the right of the Palestinian people to their land and homeland.

He said in statements, quoted by the movement through its official channel on the “Telegram” application, on Thursday: “These statements reflect a racist vision that aims to uproot our people from their roots and reshape the political and geographical map of the region to serve Zionist and colonialist interests.”

He added that the response to these statements should be a package of political, diplomatic and field measures, including strengthening Palestinian national unity and forming a unified national front that formulates a comprehensive strategy to confront the threats facing Gaza and Palestine in general.

He stressed the need to unify the Palestinian political position towards rejecting any solutions that affect the rights of the Palestinian people or try to exclude them from their land, calling for diplomatic action at the Arab and international levels, by calling on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold emergency sessions to discuss these threats and take a decisive official position against them.

He stressed the importance of popular escalation and resistance in all its forms in Gaza, the West Bank and the occupied Palestinian interior to reject these plans, explaining that “any attempt to impose new facts on the ground must be resisted, and emphasize the right of Palestinians to remain in their land and resist the occupation by all legitimate means.”

He pointed to the need to direct the Palestinian, Arab and international media to expose the danger of these statements and expose their real goals, in addition to mobilizing Arab and Islamic public opinion to support the Palestinian position and reject any attempts to reproduce a new Nakba against the people of Palestine.

He concluded by saying: “Our Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem and the occupied interior will not give up their rights and will not allow any attempt to uproot them from their land, and Trump’s statements are only a new illusion of the US administration that is biased towards the occupation, and this scheme will fall as all previous attempts have fallen.”
