Egypt Daily News – Minister of Defense Shares Iftar with Central Military Region Fighters, Border Guards, Paratroopers, and Commandos. General Abdel Meguid Saqr: Defending the nation is a sacred duty that requires constant readiness to face potential challenges.
General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, shared an iftar meal with a number of fighters from the Central Military Region, Border Guard Forces, Paratroopers, and Commandos at the headquarters of the Central Military Region. The event was attended by General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, and several military leaders.
During the gathering, General Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the fighters. He emphasized that the Armed Forces have witnessed significant advancements in training and armament across all main branches, formations, and units in recent times. He affirmed that with its advanced weaponry systems, the Armed Forces are fully capable of securing all the state’s strategic borders.
He further stressed that defending the homeland is a sacred duty that requires continuous readiness to confront potential challenges. He assured that the Armed Forces personnel will continue to make sacrifices and give their utmost to safeguard Egypt’s security and stability.
The Commander-in-Chief also urged the importance of continuous training, maintaining high morale, and enhancing the combat skills and physical fitness of soldiers. This ensures that the Armed Forces remain at the highest levels of alertness and preparedness to execute any mission assigned to them under any circumstances.
