Egypt Daily News – Journalist Ahmed Moussa directed a message to the U.S. Embassy in Cairo following Al-Azhar’s statement, which supports Egypt’s firm rejection of the displacement of Palestinians.

During his program “Ala Mas’ouliyati” on Sada El-Balad TV channel Wednesday evening, Moussa advised the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to translate Al-Azhar’s statement and present it to U.S. President Donald Trump.

He added that his call applies to all embassies worldwide, but he specifically addressed the American side due to the issue being stirred by Washington.

Moussa urged for Trump to be made aware of Al-Azhar’s stance, which he said represents two billion Muslims worldwide, emphasizing that the statement is not just from the institution itself but carries a broader message.

He highlighted that Al-Azhar’s statement contains serious messages for those who think rationally, stressing that the world is being driven toward instability.

Moussa warned that such policies will come at a cost for the entire world—East and West alike—and no one will escape the consequences.

Earlier today, Al-Azhar called for support of the Egyptian and Arab stance on rebuilding the Gaza Strip, provided that the Palestinian people remain on their land, and for exerting maximum pressure to implement an agreement to end the aggression against Gaza.

In a statement, Al-Azhar emphasized the need for world leaders to exercise wisdom when making statements that affect nations, affirming that no one has the right to force the Palestinian people into accepting impractical proposals. It stressed that the world must respect the Palestinians’ right to live on their land and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Azhar urged Arab and Muslim leaders, as well as just and wise individuals around the world, to reject displacement plans aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause by forcing Palestinians to abandon their homeland. It warned that such actions disregard the sanctity of the land and the deep historical ties of the Palestinian people to it.

The statement asserted that the international community’s failure to support the oppressed will lead to global instability, turning the world into a place where the strong trample the rights of the weak.

Al-Azhar also called on religious institutions worldwide to raise the voice of faith in defense of the oppressed in Palestine. It warned that silencing this global voice is a responsibility before God and that all will be held accountable. It reaffirmed that the primary mission of religions is to stand by and protect the vulnerable.

The statement concluded by stressing that all religions reject the expulsion of Palestinians from their land and their forced displacement. It pointed out that the world is supposed to be governed by laws and international norms, yet what is happening in Palestine today is an unprecedented violation, dragging humanity back to pre-civilized times.
