Egypt Daily News – The draw for the group stage of the African Champions League, which took place this Monday afternoon, placed Al Ahly Club in Group C.
Al Ahly will be playing with South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, CR Belouizdad from Algeria and Stade d’Abidjan of the Ivory Coast.
The draw for the group stage of the African Champions League took place today at 2 PM in the New Administrative Capital of Cairo.
Al-Ahly, the reigning champion of last season’s CAF Champions League, qualified for the group stage by defeating Kenyan team Gor Mahia 6-0 on aggregate over two legs in the Round of 32.
It is worth mentioning that Al Ahly holds the record for the most titles in the African Champions League, having won it 12 times in its history.
