Egypt Daily News – The leader of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, Ahmed al-Sharaa, nicknamed Abu Muhammad al-Julani, announced that they have started a study to raise Syrian salaries by 400%.

As part of his new decisions, Al-Julani confirmed that there will be no compulsory conscription in the army, except for some specialties that will be compulsory for a specific period.

Al-Sharaa added, as quoted by the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan: “The priorities are to rebuild the demolished homes and return the displaced to the last tent.”

He stressed that all factions will be dissolved and there will be no weapons except in the hands of the state, according to him. Syrian activists circulated pictures and video clips showing Ahmed Al-Sharaa, known as Abu Muhammad Al-Julani, asking a girl who wanted to take a picture with him to cover her hair first.

The girl, Leah Khairallah, re-published the video and said that Al-Julani asked her to cover her hair as she wanted to take a picture with him, and she did not express any dissatisfaction with the situation.

She said in her post: “He kindly and fatherly told me to cover my hair if I wanted to take a photo with him, and this is his right to appear in a way that suits him.” He did not ask the other girls gathered around him to cover their hair, only if they wanted to take pictures with him, like the CNN broadcaster who interviewed him.”
