Egypt Daily News – The Cairo Airport Company has revealed the reasons behind preventing a number of passengers from traveling on board “Flyadeal” flights heading to Jeddah from Cairo International Airport’s Terminal 2.

This included flights number 754 to Jeddah and number 770 to Madinah, where only 9 passengers were allowed to board and 174 were denied on the first flight, while 23 passengers traveled and 104 were denied on the second.

The company also stated that several passengers on “Flynas” flights to Jeddah from Terminal 1 were similarly affected. On flight 590, 55 passengers were allowed to travel while 70 were denied. On flight 566, 59 traveled and 86 were denied. On flight 584, 53 passengers traveled and 108 were denied.

The Cairo Airport Company clarified that these measures come in light of regulatory decisions announced by the Saudi authorities in preparation for this year’s Hajj season, which included the suspension of the use of transit visas.

The company stressed the importance of all travelers to Saudi Arabia verifying the validity of their visas with their respective airlines before heading to the Kingdom.
