Egypt Daily News – The monthly change rate in the core consumer price index, prepared by the Central Bank of Egypt, recorded 0.9% in March 2025, compared to 1.4% in March 2024 and 1.6% in February 2025.
The Central Bank stated that the annual core inflation rate stood at 9.4% in March 2025, compared to 10% in February 2025. The monthly change rate in the general consumer price index for urban areas, announced today by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, was 1.6% in March 2025, compared to 1.0% in March 2024 and 1.4% in February 2025.
On an annual basis, the general inflation rate for urban areas was 13.6% in March 2025, compared to 12.8% in February 2025.
