Danish and Norwegian Ambassadors receive first Norwegian Airlines in Sphinx airport

Egypt Daily News – Sphinx International Airport received the first flight of Norwegian Air today, Monday, coming from Copenhagen with 183 passengers on board.

On this occasion, a celebration was held attended by the ambassadors of Denmark and Norway in Cairo, who expressed their happiness at the addition of a new destination by Norwegian Airlines connecting Egypt and Denmark, which enhances travel and tourism between the two countries.

The plane was welcomed with a water salute, and the public relations team at Sphinx International Airport received the passengers with flags, distributed flowers and chocolates, and took commemorative photos at the airport in a festive atmosphere.

Norwegian Air is scheduled to operate two weekly flights to Sphinx Airport from Copenhagen throughout the winter season, contributing to the support of tourism and providing more options for travelers through Sphinx Airport to European countries.

The Sphinx International Airport is expected to witness an increase in passenger and aircraft traffic with the start of the winter tourist season for the Pyramids area, and with the upcoming opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
