SIS – Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Abdel-Mageed Saqr emphasized on Wednesday 11/12/2024 that the Egyptian Armed Forces remain the steadfast safeguard for protecting Egypt’s national security.
Saqr’s remarks came while attending the main phase of the tactical training “Qaher-3,” which involved several units from the East of the Canal Forces to combat terrorism, the Third Field Army, the border guard, and Special Forces.
The training, attended by several senior Armed Forces commanders, is part of the combat training plan for Egyptian Armed Forces’ units and formations.
Minister Saqr was briefed on a summary of the tactical concept of the training and the topographical and tactical orientations of the forces involved.
Performed drills demonstrated the participating forces’ high readiness and combat preparedness.
Moreover, the Egyptian defense minister inspected the participating forces to assess their technical and combat capabilities, ensure their readiness, and evaluate their understanding of their assigned tasks.
He conveyed President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s greetings and appreciation to the participating forces, emphasizing the importance of training and continuously developing its methods and techniques.
He also highlighted the need for strong communication and cohesion between commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers under the mutual respect that forms the core principles of the Armed Forces.
Minister Saqr praised the exceptional performance showcased by the participating forces in the training.
He also noted that Armed Forces members work in unison to defend Egypt’s sacred land with their lives, regardless of the sacrifices required.
Saqr stressed that this is particularly vital given the rapidly evolving global changes, which demand constant vigilance to safeguard the nation’s borders.
During the training, Commander of the East of the Canal Forces to combat terrorism, Sharif Al-Arayshi, emphasized the commitment of the East of the Canal Forces and other participating forces to unifying efforts, realistic and effective training, and optimal utilization of weapons and equipment to achieve the highest levels of readiness and combat efficiency.
