The Israeli Prisoners’ Families Association called for increased participation in tonight’s protests to demand a deal that would bring back all prisoners from the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, rejected any proposal to end the war in exchange for the release of the remaining 59 prisoners in Gaza.
Netanyahu’s government stated that fighting could only stop by removing Hamas from power, disarming the group, and ensuring it could no longer pose a threat to Israel.
