Following the ICC ruling, Netanyahu speaks with his ministers and Ben Gvir comments: “The response must be the occupation of Rafah.”

Egypt Daily News - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call at 5 p.m. local time during which he spoke with members of his government regarding the ruling of the International Court of Justice, his office said Friday.

The Prime Minister's Office said that the Foreign Minister, Strategic Affairs Minister, Justice Minister, Defense Minister, National Security Council Chairman and Attorney General spoke with Netanyahu.

For his part, far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir have already responded to the ruling issued on Friday. Smotrich said in a statement that those who "ask the State of Israel to stop the war" are indirectly demanding that Israel "decide to disappear."

The Israeli Finance Minister added, "We will not agree to that. If we lay down our weapons, the enemy will reach the beds of our children and women throughout the country."

Ben Gvir also responded to the court's orders in a statement on Friday, saying: “The inappropriate order issued by the anti-Semitic court in The Hague must have only one answer: the occupation of Rafah, increased military pressure and the complete defeat of Hamas - until complete victory in the war is achieved.”

On Friday, the United Nations International Court of Justice ruled that Israel has to stop its military operation in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and to ensure that aid reaches those in need in the Strip, in addition to submitting a report after a month on the progress of its compliance with the orders.
