Egypt Daily News – In a statement released on July 31, the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its condemnation of Israel’s recent escalation of violence, which it described as dangerous.

The Egyptian government cautioned that this escalation could ignite regional confrontations, leading to severe security repercussions.

It specifically condemned policies involving targeted assassinations and violations of the sovereignty of other nations, noting that such actions only exacerbate tensions in the region.

Egypt appealed to the United Nations Security Council and other influential international entities to take responsibility in halting this escalation, to prevent the regional security situation from deteriorating further, and to end the practice of brinkmanship.

Additionally, Egypt pointed out that the ongoing violence coincides with a standstill in ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, complicating the situation and suggesting a lack of Israeli political will for de-escalation.

This, Egypt argued, hampers the efforts they and their partners have been making to bring an end to the war in Gaza and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
